To mark World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday 21st March, pupils with Down Syndrome and other disabilities will perform in the show Unmasked’24.
The production Unmasked ’24 at the Cork Arts Theatre will feature pupils in the Academy who wish to perform, act, and let their voices be heard. The audience will at times be entertained, challenged and share in the experience of pure drama and our future performers.
The show is organised by CADA Performing Arts, a local theatre company that sets out to create a supportive and inclusive environment for people with learning disabilities.
Performers with Down Syndrome and disabilities attend rehearsals / classes / workshops with senior pupils (who volunteer) to partner in the productions.
