HOMS Assist, long established law firm practicing in personal injury, medical negligence, property law, wills, probates, trusts and more, has announced its plans to grow threefold in the coming five years. The business, which has a heritage spanning over 50 years and offices in Dublin, Cork and Limerick beat out a dozen competitor firm finalists the recent National Law Awards to be recognised as the leading firm when it comes to personal injury claims and medical negligence cases. Flying high from the win, the partners at the expert led law firm are announcing the ambition to grow the business substantially in the coming years, increasing both the volume of business the firm takes on and jobs at the firm which currently employs over 140 people across Ireland.
As part of the HOMS Assist growth plan, the proven firm plans to create wider education amongst the public about the importance of engaging legal services when needed. The ethos of the business is “expert advice when you need it most” and the firm strongly believes in the importance of a broader knowledge of the legal system for all. In recent years the number of claims cases taken by members of the public has increased and this is down to more people being more aware of their rights and population growth. This increase in cases is a notable factor in the HOMS Assist growth plan and further education is a key pillar of the prospective growth.
When it comes to working with clients, the partners and broader team of solicitors at HOMS Assist has created a unique specialist service through the expertise of its vastly experienced team. Not only is every member of the team qualified in the legal field but many of the HOMS Assist team, including partners, have qualifications in areas that will most benefit clients such as healthcare / medical, health and safety in the workplace and more. As part of the enhanced growth plan over the coming three years, HOMS Assist will not only create jobs for many in the legal industry but also work with existing and prospective team members to enhance their skillsets through speciality areas.
On the growth plan and award win, Robert Bourke, senior Partner at HOMS Assist who has worked on over 10,000 cases, says “HOMS Assist has been established for many years, and now we are planning to grow beyond our established network of loyal clients. Winning at the Irish Law Awards, with it only being our second year to enter, is a big boost of confidence to the team that the work and results we produce for clients is best in class. While winning awards is great, for us the big focus is doubling down on client focussed care and excellent service to achieve growth. We plan to do that through a succinct but multifaceted strategy that will not only see our market share grow but also our employee numbers and caseload. Truly a key aspect of that strategy is to educate the general public about their rights when it comes to claims, whether they be personal injury, medical and so on. Many clients come to see us, and most will say they are unsure if they have a case… and we work with them to provide clarity on their rights. The lack of confidence in basic legal rights is a key reason that many people don’t seek claims. Not only is it important for clients to make claims for themselves when they are due some recompense, but it’s also how standards improve, by bringing oversights or poor practice to light so services or conditions improve for others. HOMS Assist plans to roll out an extensive public education programme to empower people to arm themselves with knowledge when it comes to their rights, which in turn will increase business.”
