Local gym énergie underwent a radical transformation last month, becoming Gym Plus, as the club left the UK franchise by mutual agreement.
Chairman Dirk van der Flier said: “This is a critical milestone for us as a business, achieved through financial stability and consistent, effective management.”
Staff at the club are excited about becoming more independant and putting their own stamp on their club. They’ll give their full support to the new brand promise, to be passionate, proactive, and positive, whilst delivering a truly personal service for each and every member.
The new name signifies the start of a positive new chapter in the club’s journey. Operations Director Sandra Dunne explains the rationale behind the new name: “The Gym Plus identity came from our ability to deliver more than the average gym, in terms of facilities, service and atmosphere. We know we’re still not perfect, but our new name stands for our complete commitment to delivering more on every front until we get there.”
Gym Plus Cork is in the heart of City Gate, close to Mahon Point Shopping Centre. The club offers expert-led classes and a full range of modern gym equipment, including an indoor cycling studio and a functional fitness area. It is staffed by a team of industry-leading fitness professionals and support staff. Gym Plus prides itself on offering its members more than the average gym, without the health club price tag.
