This year’s The Pride of Cork Awards will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Cork on Friday, March 1st, 2024. This award recognises the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations, bridging the gap between voluntary, social, civic, charitable, and not-for-profit organisations, and Cork citizens.
This year, the Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, Senator Jerry Buttimer, is the Guest of Honour. PJ Coogan, from Cork’s 96FM; and Patricia Messinger, from C103, will be the compères, adding their unique voices to the event.
Michael Mulcahy, Cork Civic Life’s chairman, says: “The Pride of Cork Awards embodies the spirit of honour and celebration, paying tribute to these exceptional individuals and organisations that stand as The Pride of Cork. It is an opportunity to showcase the incredible impact they have on the community, and to express our heartfelt gratitude for their selfless dedication.”
Nominations for The Pride of Cork Awards 2024 are open to the public until February 12th, 2024. A brief overview of the nominee and the reasons behind the nomination must be included as well as the nominee’s contact details. This should be sent to Lorraine Cahalane at lorraine.cahalane@corkciviclife.ie.
