Fans of Cork City FC are invited to join the club as they celebrate their 40th anniversary with a live podcast show at Cork Opera House.
The Rebel Army Podcast takes to the stage this Thursday, September 5th as part of the Cork Podcast Festival. Legends of the club over the four decades will be interviewed by hosts Stephen Ryan and Aaron Howey.
The first half of the show will look back at the early years with John Caulfield, Dave Barry, Stuart Ashton and Trevor Welch. This will be followed with a panel discussion on the modern day Cork City FC with Gearóid Morrissey, Pat Dolan, Ruairi O’Hagan and Alan Bennett.
Aaron Howey, Cork City FC Marketing Executive said: “The Rebel Army Podcast live show will give fans an opportunity to hear some of the great moments experienced by the club over the years as we will be joined by former players and managers who lived through the highs and lows of Cork City FC. The 40th anniversary is an exciting milestone for the club and we hope that fans, old and new, can join us as we celebrate this Thursday at Cork Opera House.”
The Rebel Army Podcast was launched last February and features weekly previews and reviews on matches along with insights and updates across the Senior Men’s Team, Senior Women’s Team, The Academy and the Amputee Team. Presenter Stephen Ryan also hosts an in-depth interview every week with a person closely associated with the club.
