For businesses in the hospitality, retail, and beauty sectors, the Power Up Grant provides a timely opportunity for financial support. Recently extended to Friday, November 22nd, 2024, this €4,000 grant aims to help with electricity costs, easing some of the operational burdens in these industries. Here’s what you need to know:
Who Can Apply?
1. Prior ICOB Grant Recipients: Businesses that received the second payment under the Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) grant and still meet its criteria.
2. Businesses in Commercially Rateable Premises: Your business should have a commercial rates bill equal to or less than €30,000 in 2023. Alternatively, hospitality and retail businesses without a 2023 rates bill may still qualify if they meet other eligibility requirements.
3. Active Trading Requirement: You must be currently trading and plan to continue trading for at least three months after verification. Seasonal businesses intending to reopen in Spring 2025 are eligible too.
