Oriel House Hotel is one of the most in-demand wedding venues in Munster. Registered for civil ceremonies and with a capacity for 320 guests, this beautiful hotel has pre-designed wedding packages catering for small, intimate weddings or larger, more extravagant receptions and after parties.
All of this is achieved to an exceedingly high standard with the help of the Oriel wedding team, who pay a huge amount of attention to detail and take great honour in creating a memorable day for each newly-wed couple.
With that in mind, it will come of no surprise to hear of their latest award win. Recently, Oriel House Hotel was named The Cork Wedding Venue of the Year 2018 at our very own The Rémy Martin Cork Business Awards 2018! This award is given every year to a hotel in Cork that is one of the most popular for weddings. While always hotly contested – and this year was no different – Oriel House Hotel won out for their investment in style and experience.
“From the hard work from the moment that the couple walks in the door to view the venue to the moment they leave as man and wife, every member of our team come together to make their experience as memorable as possible,” said Sales & Marketing Executive, Ciara Barry. “As a four-star hotel, we thrive off giving the highest standard as possible to our couples and making their journey with us as simple as possible.
“To see hard work be acknowledged by past and present couples, we are very grateful for and has given us a high drive to continue this in the future. It is an honour to win this prestigious award and Ronan Fahy, our General Manager, and management staff would like to thank everyone who had a part in us becoming Cork’s Wedding Venue of the Year 2018.”
Following the win, the deserving staff were treated by management to drinks, music and food, with some words of gratitude and inspiration from General Manager Ronan Fahy, thanking the team for their continuous hard work and making all this happen, “as without our ‘soldiers’, none of this would be possible”.
“Within the hotel we are all a very tight and well organised team and when conferences, events and weddings are executed successfully, this is a motivator in itself,” added Ciara.
The crystal award is currently on show, front at centre, at the hotel’s reception desk. “We are honoured and exceptionally proud of the achievement and we would like all guests who enter the hotel to see.
“We would like to thank every person who made this award happen, from our own team, who we honestly could not be without, our wedding coordinator Elaine Gantly, who builds the most memorable and relaxed relationship with her couples, and of course, the couples who had nominated us and who are our valued guests.
“We will continue to drive weddings for the coming years in the Oriel House Hotel and focus on the delivery of service to ensure every guest that enters the hotel leaves with the highest praise of the property.”
Last year Oriel House Hotel invested €2 million into a luxury revamp of some of their suites and rooms. The ‘Chic Boutique’ Tobin & Ellis Collection Luxury Bedrooms and Suites, provide guests with the perfect place to escape and relax, while also offering the ‘wow’ factor.
