Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre has been sharing accessible, authentic and affordable yoga with the people of Cork for six years. They run over 60 classes a week at their centres in Penrose Wharf, Cork City and Ballincollig. They are dedicated to improving the health, happiness and wellbeing of their clients and communities.
Himalaya Yoga Valley have raised over €40,000 for Cork Simon Community through their Yoga in the Park initiative at Fitzgerald Park. Due to the success of their Ballincollig yoga studio, which opened last year, they launched a second Yoga in the Park in Ballincollig Regional Park this Summer, with all donations going to Pieta House.
Their centres in Cork City and Ballincollig are sanctuaries from modern day stress and their clients always leave feeling better than when they arrived! Their expert teachers are dedicated to providing a professional yoga experience for everybody with their wide range of classes. They have also developed strong relationships with local businesses through their corporate yoga programmes.
Himalaya Yoga Valley was founded by Yogacharya Lalit from India, who has been practicing yoga since the age of seven at traditional schools in the Himalayas. He has been teaching internationally for over a decade with a wealth of experience. He is a renowned teacher in the global yoga community and has trained over 2,000 students, many of whom have gone on to become teachers at their centres in India and Ireland.
In 2017, the Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre won the National Friendly Business Award for Community Impact and were announced overall winners at the Cork Digital Marketing Awards.
