PepsiCo Volunteers Help Deliver Inclusive GAA Cúl Camp at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh
More than 70 children of all abilities came together at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh recently for the GAA Inclusive Cúl Camp. The camp, supported by volunteers from PepsiCo Little Island, highlighted the power of inclusion in sport while also sparking conversations around sustainability and environmental awareness. Children from across Cork took part, with participants coming from clubs including Newcestown, Valley Rovers, Ballinhassig, Douglas, Midleton, Fermoy, and Nemo Rangers.
PepsiCo’s team of volunteers engaged the campers through interactive, sustainability-themed games, from “Spin the Wheel,” which challenged participants to correctly sort everyday waste into Recycling, Compost, or General Waste, to “Green Team SNAP” and quizzes on greener living.
Paudie Crowley, Games Development Lead at Cork GAA, said: “I want to extend our deepest gratitude for PepsiCo’s generous support in providing volunteers for our summer Inclusive Camp. The team’s enthusiasm, compassion and dedication had a profound impact on our campers and staff alike. Thanks to the volunteers, we were able to create a welcoming and joyful environment where every participant felt valued, supported and empowered to be themselves.”
