Senator Jerry Buttimer has represented Cork South Central in Dáil Éireann as a TD since 2011. He is Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children, which plays a pivotal role in scrutinising the work of the Department of Health. He is a member of Cork City and County Policing Committees.
