Chairperson of the YSEDG, Barbara Murray, said: “Some businesses may feel that there is no support for their small business or startup; but there are a raft of grants waiting to be picked up, it’s just about knowing where to access them. This event pointed these business owners in the right direction to receive the advice, mentoring, and analysis they need for both new and existing businesses. It was also a great opportunity to network with other like-minded business people,” said Barbara.
Meabh Ring, a Marketing & Resource Development Consultant, served as the MC and facilitated a panel discussion with owners Fiona Kelleher (MyGug), Hanna Backmo (Hanna’s Bees), and Niamh Hegarty (BKultured/Niamh’s Larder). The panel discussed the ways in which each of these business owners has overcome adversity, as well as the various grant supports they received along the way.
