The first ever gala Cork Cheese Dinner will take place next week. Each course will feature Irish cheese and will feature a different chef per course – all of whom are well known chefs within the Cork food industry. This cheese extravaganza is a first for Cork and is expected to attract visitors from all over Ireland.
It will be an all female line-up of chefs for the cheese dinner. The chefs include Francesca Jara of L’Atitude, Kate Lawlor of the Oyster Tavern, Pam Kelly of Chef O’Clock and Christine Girault of La Spoon.
The Cork Cheese Dinner will take place at Olivo Restaurant at the Cork Airport Hotel. The evening begins at 7pm with a drinks reception before guests take their seats for the four-course cheese dinner. The dinner will be served with wine and is €65 per person. Tickets available at the hotel or on Eventbrite.
The Cork Cheese Dinner is part of the inaugural Cork Cheese Week, which will take place throughout Cork from Monday September 24 at venues around the city. It will culminate with a weekend of all things cheese at the Cork Airport Hotel on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30.
